I design community engagement and social programs that use regenerative strategies and new media approaches to engage multiple stakeholders in the design and implementation of environmental projects aimed at creating inclusive and diverse communities

Teams of engineers, architects, designers and other experts will work alongside community members to identify critical areas throughout the Bay Area and propose community-based solutions that will strengthen our region’s resilience to sea level rise, severe storms, flooding and earthquakes. Website:

Audience:
Students & Alumni of Historically Black Colleges and Universities

Goal:
Increase sales of Toyota Environmental Fleet

Problem:
Low engagement among influential market segment (African-American Consumers).

Insight:
90% of African-American professionals graduate from a Historically Black Colleges or University. Alumni Engagement critical opportunity. Traditional Advertising not reaching target.

Solution:
Co-designed & managed Toyota’s flagship green campaign targeting African-Americans, “The Toyota Green Initiative.” In its fifth year, this regional tour includes a Celebrity Lecture Series, Community Service Events and Contests. The initiative engaged millions of students and alumni in beautification projects, music and celebratory activities centered in themes of environmental sustainability, food justice and social entrepreneurship.
